Semaglutide Tablets

Description

Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. GLP-1 is a hormone that binds to receptors in the brain that regulate hunger and appetite. Similar to liraglutide, semaglutide was initially approved at a lower dose to treat type 2 diabetes and later approved at a higher dose (2.4 mg) to treat obesity.

As with other drugs in this class, the most common side effects of semaglutide are gastrointestinal in nature, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation. These side effects are usually dose-dependent and tend to decrease over time.

Semaglutide should be used in combination with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. It should not be used alongside other semaglutide-containing products or other GLP-1 receptor agonists.
